The History of Zy-Sauce
Zy-Sauce "Marinade"
This sauce has been a family recipe for well over a
decade.
Originally developed for Salmon, Tuna and Mahi-Mahi, over
the years,
we found it is also an excellent Marinade and Sauce for
many other dishes!
The flavor complements Meats, Wild Game, Vegetables and
so much more!
Zy-Sauce
"Mustard BBQ Sauce"
This special sauce blend was perfected in the spring of
'2000.
If you enjoy the flavor of mustard, your going to LOVE
this sauce!
This IS
NOT a Honey Mustard !!!
This sauce has a BBQ twang with just the right hint of
hickory smoked flavor.
In South Carolina, Mustard BBQ is the preferred flavor on
Pork BBQ.
Our Mustard
BBQ Sauce is truly
a Southern Tradition.
In the
early days...
Of backyard barbecues with family and friends, our sauce
didn't have a special name.
Friends called it "Zey's
Sauce" after the inventor David Zey, who just
happens to be
an inventor. David has many Patents for his technological concepts and
inventions.
David began outdoor cooking
at the age of 12. Through innovation, combined with his
Southern Chef skills, David created sauces which are like
none other on the market!
Over the years, through request
from family and friends, he began bottling jars of his
sauce as gifts.
David never intended to start a
business, but the request for his sauce was growing
beyond
just family and friends. There was a
increasing persistence that he should market his sauce.
After much, and relentless encouragement...

We wanted to give our sauce an official name. We spent
weeks trying to come up with a special name, when
friends
began asking us, "Why are you changing the
name?"
We like the name...Zey Sauce
"Zey Sauce"
seemed to fit so we kept the name with only
a change to the spelling. Zey is
pronounced Zy (Zie)
That's how our name became,
Zy-Sauce
David's wife is an
artist. She had drawn up several ideas
for a logo during the time we were trying to come
up with a
name for the sauce. David was especially
intrugued and drawn
to a very simple one she created that looked
celestrial...yet unique.
The name, and the logo seemed to fit together.
A name easy to remember, complemented by a eye
catching logo.
Now you know the whole story! We are really
enjoying our
business venture but most of all, the
overwhelming positive
feedback we keep receiving from our satisfied
Customers!
